We talk to Skyfall aka Menog about skydiving, learning how to make music all over again, and heavy metal. His brand new album titled ‘Regenerate‘ will be out soon!

1. Your other act Menog is a very successful one with devoted fans the world over. Why did you especially feel the need to branch out with Skyfall?
I needed a “refresh” in my musician life,and mainly cause I love the more psy-prog side of the trance, and I couldn’t write Menog tracks on a progressive style cause the Menog Fans would not like that very much. People will always relate Menog with the more night time sound instead of progressive, and that could only happen with a new style and name, so Skyfall was born. In my honest opinion it was the best choice in my music career. At the Studio it is like learning how to make music all over again. The name Skyfall came from my passion and represents how much I love to Skydive!
2. What can your fans expect from your upcoming remixes album, any surprises?
They can expect alot of work and dedication and mainly lots of variety in terms of music ,in my opinion probably one of the best 9 tracks I’ve ever wrote.
3. Any other Psy classics you would still love to remix one day?
I would love to remix “The Fly” from Infected Mushroom and “Pretty Poison” from Tim Shuldt
4.Your latest Nano Records EP ‘Not Quite Human’ was released last year, did it receive the response that you hoped it would?
It received more than I was expecting , it reached number 7 on Beatport. I got lots of messages in my inbox telling me that Skyfall was the best thing I’ve done and that I should keep going with this project!
5. Does your heavy metal past ever influence your trance productions at all? Why/Why not?
Totally. If I didn’t have a metal band in the past I’m sure my music would not be like this, it would probably be more cheesy.
6. How many times have you jumped out of a plane?
About 318 times now, not enough though!
7. Any gigs you wished you had of jumped off the plane before you got there?
I´m planning to do that at Burning Man. Jump out of the plane just before playing, I will film the whole thing from the exit until I reach the stage to play.
8. If you were a cartoon character who would you be and why? Probably Goku from dragon ball mainly cause I could just fly from one continent to the other fast.

10. Read any good books lately?
I´m almost done with the ‘Celestine Prophecy’ by James Redfield
11. Does the piercing in your lip get in the way of eating noodles?
Not at all!
